Prolonged Atmospheric River in the Pacific Northwest; Snow and High Winds from the Upper Midwest into the Northeast

A prolonged atmospheric river will continue to impact the Pacific Northwest into the Northern Rockies with heavy rainfall, areas of urban and river flooding, landslides, heavy mountain snow, and gusty winds into Thursday. Mild, dry weather will persist through the week, with record highs possible from Tuesday through Thursday. Highs will reach the 60s across the Sierra and western Nevada valleys, peaking Wednesday when some warmer valleys could reach the upper 60s (around 15–20° above average).
We might have some record breakers on our hands this week! High pressure will continue to build, making Wednesday the warmest day of the week with temperatures more reminiscent of November. Come back here to see if we break any records!
