* WHAT...For the Wind Advisory, southwest winds 20 to 30 mph with
  gusts up to 40 mph. For the Freeze Warning, sub-freezing
  temperatures as low as 27 expected.

* WHERE...Arco/Mud Lake Desert and Upper Snake River Plain.

* WHEN...For the Wind Advisory, until 9 PM MDT this evening. For the
  Freeze Warning, from 2 AM to 9 AM MDT Wednesday.

* IMPACTS...Gusty winds could make driving difficult, especially for
  high profile vehicles. Unsecured objects may be blown around.
  Frost and freeze conditions could kill crops, other sensitive
  vegetation and possibly damage unprotected outdoor plumbing.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Take steps now to protect tender plants from the cold.

Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high

This hazardous weather outlook is for northeast and north central
Colorado.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

Gusty westerly downslope winds will continue this afternoon,
mainly over and near the foothills and across far northern
Colorado where gusts to 40 mph will be possible.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday

Weak weather systems will bring periods of light snow showers to
the mountains, and scattered showers and thunderstorms on the
plains. The main periods for this will be late Wednesday through
early Thursday, and again late Friday into early Saturday. Heavy
snow or severe thunderstorms are not expected.

Wyoming, possibly spreading east of the Continental Divide at times.

A system will bring rain showers and mountain snow to the
northern half of the area this morning. Snow accumulations of 1-3
inches are possible.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday

Another system brings more precipitation to the area on Wednesday.
A brief cool spell on Thursday in the wake of a cold front will
drop temperatures, before things warm back up heading into the
weekend.
