April 24-25, 1910 Snow Totals

Overview
The latest measurable snowfall on record in Nashville occurred on April 24-25, 1910 when 1.5 inches of snow fell in the city. This same storm system produced a narrow but unusually heavy late Spring swath of 4 to over 8 inches of snow across western and central Kentucky, Middle and East Tennessee, northern Georgia, and western North Carolina. In addition to the snow, below freezing temperatures affected not only these same areas but much of the southern US, which caused severe damage to crops and other vegetation. The freeze on the morning of April 25, 1910, was the latest Spring freeze on record for Nashville.
